news "The Argas Effect" needs Mappers
posted by severe! (0459 hours)

FishDS9 sent the following request:

Do you have mapping skills for the quake 3 engine or for Elite Force 1? Then SpaceStation K7 needs YOU!

We have a need for some talented mappers to join our team currently working on "The Argas Effect", a single player TOS based mod for EF1.

We don't want this mod to become another statistic like the vast amount of EF Mods that died before they were completed.

Please, help us bring "The Argas Effect" to the EF Gaming Community and to the Star Trek Community at large.

Make a difference!

Visit SpaceStation K7 to apply or to get more information.

news TOS Film Cell Restoration Underway
posted by severe! (0518 hours)

FishDS9 has sent news of a new Film Cell Restoration initiative:

We at SpaceStation K7 have a forum of "Lost Trek Images". The restoration expert, Capt. Mac, has been working hard restoring old film clips from TOS for awhile now. This is an excerpt of an email we received from him about the restoration work he's been doing:

"I will soon be creating a web page showing before & after restorations, and hopefully solicit people into sending their clips for preservation. The site will contain info such as this: All film transparencies previous to the 1980's will eventually fade to a dull magenta due to the chemical Characteristics of the film. The longer one waits, the less likely hood of restoration. I will also include tips on storage, etc."

So, if anyone has bought any film trims from Lincoln Enterprises or conventions and would like to see just what they own and would like them digitally restored, please get in touch.

And here is our forum with much, much more of the same.
