Elite Force PS2 review

news TOS Crew Skins available
posted by severe! (0228 hours)

Got this from FishDS9 from K7

1st February 2003

On a sad day for man's journey into space my new TOS CREW skin pak is released. The two paks are available in transporter room 1. Chekov, Sulu, Scotty and Uhura are included and Spock, Kirk and McCoy will be released sometime in the near future.

I would like to dedicate these skins to the brave crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia and would like to repeat the dedication at start of Star Trek IV to the crew of the Challenger.

This skin pak is dedicated to the men and women of the Spaceship Columbia, who's courageous spirit will live on to the 23rd Century and beyond.

  • The game will be released "when it's done", so ignore the release dates various online retailers are throwing around (original post).

  • The multiplayer source code will be made available shortly after the game's release (along with some documentation), with the single player source following afterwards (original post).

It is also reported that there will be strafe jumping in the Multiplayer component of the game, but not single player.

posted by severe! (0537 hours)

Activision producer Doug Pearson has confirmed that EF2 for Mac is currently being developed by Aspyr

There will be a Macintosh version of the game. It is being done by Aspyr. They are already working on it and plan to release the Macintosh version very near the release timing of the PC version if not the same time.

The exact timing of the Mac launch won't be known for a while, but they are working towards releasing the Mac version as close to the PC launch as possible.
