FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ACTIVISION BEAMS GAMERS TO THE DELTA QUADRANT WITH STAR TREK: VOYAGER® ELITE FORCE

Activision and Raven Software Deliver the First Game Set in the Star Trek: Voyager Universe

Santa Monica, CA - September 27, 2000 -Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) and Raven Software's highly anticipated PC action game, Star Trek: Voyager® Elite Force(tm) is flying in to North American retail stores at warp speed. Powered by the Quake III: ArenaÔ engine and packed with authentic Star Trek® action, Elite Force puts players on the front lines as a member of a new elite fighting force - The Hazard Team. Charged with saving Voyager, her crew and the Delta Quadrant from a threatening alien enemy, gamers must battle against both new and familiar enemies, including the Borg, Klingon, Hirogen and more. Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force is rated "T" (Teen - Animated Violence) by the ESRB and carries a suggested retail price of $49.99.

"Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force combines in-your-face first-person action with a complex storyline that fully immerses players in the Star Trek world," says Laird Malamed, executive producer, Activision Studios. "Raven Software has put their fingerprint on this game and it shows from the meticulous recreation of the Voyager ship to the eerie alien enemies. Players are in for an incredibly diverse and engaging single and multiplayer experience."

"We are extremely proud of what Activision and Raven have accomplished with this game," said Terri Helton, senior vice president of domestic licensing, Viacom Consumer Products. "Their attention to detail shines through by faithfully recreating the U.S.S. Voyager and providing a thrilling experience."

Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force puts the player in the role of Ensign Munro, second in command of Voyager's elite Hazard Team security force and challenges them to battle through eight missions that span over 40 levels.

Brian Pelletier, project lead from Raven Software says, "Our goal is to place the player right inside a virtual episode of the TV show, where they get to experience what life is like aboard Voyager through the eyes of a security officer. They go to meetings, get their weapons in the equipment room, and then step on the transporter pad with their team and beam away to an alien spaceship. What people only saw on TV, they now get to experience in a virtual world."

As in the TV series, missions include team and solo assignments. Popular characters from Star Trek®: Voyager(tm) including Captain Janeway, Seven of Nine and Lt. Commander Tuvok, among others, will offer insights to help the player complete missions and new characters that make up the rest of the Hazard Team will assist the player during battles against hostile aliens. Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force fuses cutting-edge graphics with authentic sound effects and visuals from the television show, for the ultimate experience in Star Trek action.
